Ian introduced Merv, Darryl (our local trouble agent) and Bill Laverty.
The project was funded via a Global Grant organised by Gordon & Leo and Presidents Ross & Deborah. $10k each from Caloundra and Caloundra Pacific, $5k by Sydney Cove.
The team constructed three tanks and two toilets at the hospital, and one tank and two toilets at the high school. After $1m in Aus Aid, additional toilets were not required.

Merv
gave a run down of travel arrangements to Choiseul, which is by Dash 8
to Gizo, stay overnight, then boat or Twin Otter to to Taro Island, then
one and a half hours by boat.

The accommodation had all the mod cons, but no power or water.
