Speaker, Angie Anderson who hails from Noosa and her subject was “cooking for cures”. Angie is an Internationally awarded author who has published seven books and is working on the eighth. Certainly she has come a long way for a child who grew up in Orbost Victoria, a small timber town, not that Far East of lakes Entrance.

Angie has worked extensively with aloe vera and one would have to conclude that she is an authority on the subject and from what she explained it can be used to combat some malignancies.

There are many many varieties of aloe Vera but only two have medicinal qualities, chincensis and the larger and more commercially grown variety barbadensis which matures in two years.

Should you wish for more information go to www.angiessmartbooks.com Pam thanked Angie and gifted her two of our wine glasses (to drink her therapeutic dose of aloe vera and vegetable or fruit juice of course!)

Gerry, our Sargent, then proceeded to ply his trade extracting as many gold coins as possible from those present he  even used a third party to this end, ingenious fellow indeed!

Next meeting is on 30/7/13
